Shrnutí:The work was based on collecting information on the primary insects that attack stored corn grains, different sources of information compile that this crop is very important for the economy, since it contributes to the food of the world and national population. Ecuador has a production of 1.2 million tons (t) of corn, of which 900,000 tons are directed to national industries, for the production of food, but this production is affected at the time that industries decide to store crops by main insects of the coleoptera order. According to the sources consulted, they report that when there is humidity, these insects develop quickly by drilling or slashing the grains causing serious losses for the farmer or the merchant. There are several controls that can help us obtain good insect-free storage so as not to cause any loss, in this work we talk about chemical, biological control, the use of botanical insecticides. Another very important fact when storing crops is the conditions that will be exposed, in large industries to avoid this type of loss use what is controlled atmosphere, to prevent the proliferation of these insects
