Тойм:This research was conducted in the Palama Community, located in the Santa Ana de Mulliquindil Parish, Salcedo Canton, Cotopaxi Province, whose main objective is focused on developing a methodological proposal to sustainably measure the impact of bonding projects in the tourism área. The methodology application proposed by Sarandon in the Palama case study makes to measure the sustainability of bonding projects in the tourism area, through the evaluation and weighting of each of the sustainability indicators adapted to the research site. The methodology used in the research was field research, where the survey technique was applied to twelve families of the sector to characterize the place, then, by means of the documentary bibliographic analysis, the sustainability indicators were structured. In the first objective, the Palama sector was characterized through sustainability indicators, evaluating three areas: economic with 3 indicators: food self-sufficiency, economic income and economic risk; environmental with 3 indicators: soil life conservation, erosion risk and biodiversity management; and the socio-cultural area with 6 indicators: satisfaction of basic needs, acceptability of the production system, social integration of organizational systems, ecological knowledge and awareness, equity and protection of local identity and tourism potential. For the second objective, a methodological sustainability guide was prepared for the study area, the objectives of the evaluation and analysis were defined, indicators adapted to the attributes of the system to be evaluated were developed, and the indicators were standardized and weighted. In the third objective, the methodology was applied and it was demonstrated that 2 indicators of the socio-cultural area are sustainable (Satisfaction of basic needs and Tourism potential), while the other indicators acceptability of the production system, social interaction to organizational systems, knowledge and ecological awareness and equity and protection of local identity; in addition, the environmental and economic areas are not sustainable after performing the respective calculations. Finally, the overall sustainability index for the Palama sector was 1.76, indicating that the study area evaluated does not present sustainability in the implementation of the bonding projects related to the tourism area, due to the analysis and results obtained in the sustainability calculations performed.
