Crynodeb:This paper aims primarily to know the implementation of biosafety standards, the biological risk factors and job insecurity of Saquisilí’s Health Center workers, who face directly the risks of biological contamination during their daily work activities. This research part of a concrete reality, inadequate compliance of security policies and prevention of biological hazards. For this, a field investigation was conducted with the application of a survey, making relevance on the knowledge and especially the implementation of biosafety standards in the total workforce of the institution, finding that 41% of workers do not satisfice it, showing the need to seek standardized intervention strategies to minimize the problem. Biosafety standards are intended to decrease the likelihood of getting infections in the workplace, includes strategies, actions or procedures that should be considered to avoid or prevent the effects of hazards in the work area. The proposal presents specific protocols of Ecuador’s Ministry of Public Health standard biosafety for the areas of greatest exposure to biological hazards in Saquisilí’s Health Center, that after the respective socialization and training, periodic evaluations will be conducted to measure the percentage of application of that rule and define new strategies for continuous improvement.
