Ruta aviturística en el cantón Latacunga.

The purpose of this research is to design a birdwatching route in the Latacunga canton, taking into account the 15 parishes it has, the purpose of which is to make the residents of the canton and its parishes aware of an economical alternative with a tourist focus. To carry out the investigation, within objective one, a situational diagnosis of the Latacunga canton was carried out, through a bibliographic review, establishing its conditions and characteristics, as well as the climatic floors, turning out to be of great wealth to house a variety of species distributed in different parishes. of the canton, the state of the roads and their connections was obtained. For objective two, the direct observation method was used, using the counting technique by points and intensive search to the different parishes of the Latacunga canton, establishing the points for the registration of birds, the registration was carried out through an inventory of birds and the identification of the species with the help of the book of, Birds of Ecuador, Red Book of birds of Ecuador and pages such as Naturalist Ecuador and e-e Bird, resulting in a total of 10 orders, 23 families, 66 species and 807 individuals, the taxonomic files were applied, for a greater effectiveness in the selection of species and places that integrated the route, the Sorencen index was used. In the third objective, the points for the systematization of the route with the ARGS system were obtained, integrating 7 parishes such as: Eloy Alfaro (Salache), Belisario Quevedo, Aláquez, Joseguango Bajo, Mulaló, Tanicuchi and Poaló, the starting and ending point. It is in downtown Latacunga (Terminal). The route (Aves Latacunga) is designed for a Full Day, two days and one night, three days and two nights, each package is specified with its activities and prices. Subsequently, the reception and use of the Latacungueño population and tourists in general is expected, with the objective of making birdwatching known in the canton, as well as its conservation and the economic benefits that this can contribute to the integrated population.
