| সংক্ষিপ্ত: | Formative evaluation from its multiple models is based on being an essential component in any teaching-learning process, more than assigning a grade, it allows students to develop and improve their skills. The research aims to identify formative evaluation as a useful technique to improve the learning process for tenth-grade students at the 14 de Julio Educational Unit of Latacunga Canton, San Buenaventura parish, during the school year 2023 to 2024. The methodology adopts an interpretive paradigm aimed at comprehensively understanding educational realities. By employing a qualitative research approach, the study used an inductive and empirical method, analyzing variables through observation. Data collection involved the observation and interview techniques, utilizing instruments such as the observation guide and the interview guide. The results achieved about the formative evaluation benefit learning through feedback, allowing students to consolidate their empty knowledge. The evaluation should be an opportunity for students to achieve the established goals by the teacher. This research project contributes to raising awareness about the application of formative evaluation, adopting various evaluation strategies, techniques, and instruments.
