Description
Summary:The present project analyzed the information that exists about the integration of an environment that allows to manage heterogeneously the network topology of the laboratories of the Technical University of Cotopaxi, called “Grid Computing”, which is integrated into the network through software virtualization with the use of hypervisor operating systems and their respective management applications, this integration will be made to prove that there is the deterioration or obsolescence of computer equipment in the above mentioned institution, this causes the institution must need to change the technological equipment (computers) every certain period, it generates a high demand for economic resources for the replacement of them, by modern technological resources. Economic resources are delivered by the Ecuadorian state, specifically The Secretaria Nacional de Educación Superior, Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (Senescyt), but these resources are not sufficient to replace all obsolete computer equipment in their entirety. For this reason, this technological proposal proposes the use of Citrix XenServer virtualization tools that uses the Grid Computing environment, as a solution to avoid the excessive expense of economic resources in replacing technological equipment obsolete, for this was implemented a prototype that uses a server dedicated to software virtualization applied to the network laboratory belonging to the Computer Engineering and Computational Systems career of the Technical University of Cotopaxi, which distributes all the hardware power of the hypervisor (XenServer), to all computer equipment (customers) connected to its network, using Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), in this way the direct beneficiaries will be students and teachers who occupy the network laboratory, since this tool opens up several fields of study in the networks subject, and consequently helps the conservation of the environment, because the implementation of this project will minimize the environmental impact generated by the constant deterioration of computers.
