Sumari:Our research was carried out on the implementation of methodological strategies that are currently important in educational institutions in Ecuador. The general objective of our research was "Implement methodological strategies to improve the reading and writing processes of students with special needs at the Basic Education School Pablo Picazzo”, located in the canton of Valencia, province of Los Ríos for the period 2021-2022. A qualitative approach was used through a bibliographic review, and the application of a survey to the teachers and authorities of the educational institution. The results show that teachers do not use methodological strategies in the reading and writing process for students with special needs. However, as a solution, training workshops were held for teachers, which will favorably affect the teaching-learning process and contribute to academic improvement in the classroom.
