Description
Summary:In the market there are many products based on humic and fulvic acids, which is why it is necessary to identify the best response in crops, in this case in the stimulation of cocoa seedlings in nursery. Considering the above, the present study aimed to evaluate the effect of the application of three products based on humic and fulvic acids on the growth and development of cocoa seedlings in the nursery stage. The investigation was carried out on land belonging to the "La Rebeldía" farm, located at Km. 1.5 of the Chipe - Valencia highway. A completely randomized design was used with four treatments in four repetitions, and the Tukey test for the comparison of means. Data on plant height (cm), stem diameter (cm) and number of leaves per plant at 30, 50 and 70 days, root length at 70 days (cm), survival percentage and the respective economic analysis were recorded. The results obtained showed that Algaser Plus produced the highest seedlings with 21.73 cm at 30 days, 30.65 cm at 50 days and 51.53 cm at 70 days, and thicker stems at 1.53, 1.76 and 2.00 cm, at 30, 50 and 70 days, respectively. Foliar emission was enhanced when Algaser Plus was applied, presenting 3.78 leaves at 30 days, increasing by 3.60 and 12.37 for 50 and 70 days, correspondingly. When applying Algaser Plus a greater root development was observed with 26.93 cm and greater survival with 92.50% of live plants at the end of the trial, generating a profitability of 44.98%.
