| Sumari: | The objective of the research was to evaluate the effect of treatment with organic acids in drinking water during the fattening phase in broiler chickens. It was carried out in the last stage of production of broiler chickens (week 5, 6 and 7) with the following treatments: T0 Control; T1 Solution at pH 3.5; T2 Solution at pH 3.8 and T3 Solution at pH 4.0 was used a Completely Random Design with four replicates, water consumption, weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion, mortality rate and economic analysis Of the treatments. The inclusion of organic acids was well accepted by the birds as it improved (P <0.05) the consumption of drinking water. In general, the solution with lower pH (3.5) of T1 showed a better acceptance. The acidification of drinking water with treatment T1 (Solution at pH 3.5) improved (P <0.05) the weight gain and feed conversion, however, the increase in pH with the dosage with organic acids did not show improvement in the parameters. The T1 treatment showed the best cost benefit ratio (1.26) and profitability (26.31%) compared to the other dosages with organic acids and the control treatment. |
