Итог:Trees are the most relevant among the elements that make up the structure of an ecosystem, the diversity of species present different morphological characteristics and give rise to different structures. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the structure and state of conservation of the floristic resources of the secondary forest in the Isabel María enclosure, located in a tropical humid forest of the Pangua parish, Muraspungo canton, Cotopaxi province. Six sampling units of 20 m x 20 m each were distributed in a total area of 2400m2 at a height of 500 and 700 meters above sea level, and the individuals found were recorded. Forest diversity was calculated using the Shannon index (H), the Jaccard coefficient or similarity index (J), the importance value index by species (IVI) and the importance value index by family (VIF). In the results, a total of 572 individuals were recorded, 126 trees with CAP greater than 7.5 cm, 48 species corresponding to 22 families were identified, being the families with the highest number of diversity and VIF Moraceae with 9 species and Meliaceae with 8 species with a VIF of 61.79% and 55,61% respectively. The species of visola chonta (Bactris gasipaes Kunth.) Was the most abundant with an Importance Value Index (IVI) of 16.26%, followed by morale booby with 16.23%. The Shannon index presented a high diversity with a value of 3,63 and the highest similarity index between the sampling units was the sampling unit 4 and 5 with a value of 0,34, thus demonstrating great richness. floristics. The majority of individuals were classified in class I and II with a total of 97 individuals. 66,26% of the individuals were found in the low stratum where individuals with a CAP less than 2,5 cm were classified.
