Summary:This study is about the descriptive analysis of anglicisms in Ecuadorian magazines, which is developed aiming to research the linguistics phenomenon of anglicisms. This investigation took place in Quito-Ecuador, focussing on the six magazines classified in 3 categories: scholar, cultural and general interest. The qualitative and quantitative methods have been applied within this descriptive investigation. This research concludes that anglicisms influence Ecuadorian magazines mostly in technological and economical issues. This investigation supports that today the Spanish lexical use is notably influenced by anglicisms.
