Eficiencia de nematicidas biológicos en el control de Meloidogyne incógnita en tomate de mesa (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) bajo invernadero, en Socapamba Imbabura

El nematodo del nudo de la raíz, Meloi.dog)>ne incógnita, se encuentra en la mayoría de las zonas productoras de tomate de mesa (campo e invernaderos) de Imbabura y Carchi, causando pérdidas de 36, 43 y 47%, en las variedades Sheila, Sahel y Cbarleston, respectivamente, constituyendo un factor limitante de dicho cultivo. Dentro del contexto de la pi'otección del ambiente y de la salud humana, el uso de vatíedades resistentes y la aplicación de nematicidas de naturaleza biológica y botánica es lo más conveniente para controlar a este nematodo, pero es necesario evaluar experimentalmente la eficiencia y rentabilidad de los productos disponibles. Lo anterior, más la importancia del cultivo y la necesidad de reducir el uso de productos químicos, justificaron la realización de la presente investigación, con el objeto de determinar la eficiencia y rentabilidad de nematicidas de naturaleza biológica y botánica.
Nematode of the knot by the root, incógnita Meloi.dog)>ne, is in most of the producing zones of tomato of table (fíeld and conservatories) of Imbabura and Carchi, causing losses of 36, 43 and 47%, in the varieties Sheila, Sahel and Charleston, respectively, constituting a limitant factor of this culture. Within the context of the protection of the atmosphere and the human health, the use of resistant varieties and the application of nematicidas of biological and botanical nature are most advisable to control to this nematode, but it is necessary experimentally to evalúate the efficiency and yield of producís available. The previous thing, plus the importance of the culture and the necessity to reduce the chemical agent use, justified the accomplishment of the present investigation, with the intention of determining the efficiency and yield of nematicidas of biological and botanical nature.
