El desempe?o profesional docente, entre otras, incluye las acciones que se realizan dentro o fuera del aula de clase. Durante el periodo de confinamiento se produjo un cambio radical en las actividades del docente. En este sentido, el objetivo de la investigaci?n es describir las caracter?sticas de la pr?ctica curricular y la pr?ctica docente bajo la modalidad virtual durante el per?odo de confinamiento en el sexto a?o de EGB en el ?rea de Matem?ticas en la unidad educativa ?Rep?blica del Ecuador?. Para ello se parti? de un enfoque cualitativo con la aplicaci?n del m?todo estudio de caso y las t?cnicas de observaci?n participante, entrevistas y an?lisis documental. Participaron la docente del sexto de a?o de EGB y la vicerrectora de instituci?n educativa. A partir del an?lisis de la informaci?n recolectada, se determin? que existieron cambios en el desarrollo de las planificaciones porque ya no se tomaba en cuenta todos los elementos curriculares. Adem?s, el acceso y el manejo de herramientas tecnolog?as se convierten en un desaf?o en la pr?ctica docente, lo cual dificulta la interacci?n y comunicaci?n entre docente y estudiante, as? como la retroalimentaci?n en el proceso de ense?anza y aprendizaje de las Matem?ticas en modalidad virtual.
Professional teaching performance, among others, including actions performed inside or outside the classroom. During the period of confinement, there was a radical change in the teacher's activities. In this sense, the objective of the research is to describe the characteristics of curricular and teaching practice under the virtual modality during the confinement period in the sixth year of Basic General Education in the Mathematics area in "Republic of Ecuador" Educational Unit. To do this, a qualitative approach to base on the application of the case study method and the techniques of participating observation, interviews and documentary analysis. The teacher of the sixth of the year of BGE and the vice rector of educational institution participated. From the analysis of the information collected, it was determined that there were changes in the development of the plans, because not taking into account all the curricular elements. In addition, access and management of technology tools become a challenge in teaching practice, which makes it difficult the interaction and communication between teacher and student, as well as to provide feedback in the process of teaching and learning Mathematics in virtual mode.
