Aprendizaje-Servicio Comunitario: estrategia did?ctica activa para re valorizar conocimientos ancestrales sobre uso de plantas medicinales con estudiantes de sexto grado en la U.E.C.I.B ?ABC?

El objetivo de este trabajo fue aplicar el Aprendizaje-Servicio Comunitario, como una estrategia did?ctica activa con pertinencia intercultural en el ?rea de Ciencias Naturales (CCNN), para rescatar el conocimiento ancestral sobre el uso de plantas medicinales con estudiantes de sexto grado de Educaci?n General B?sica Intercultural Biling?e en la Unidad Educativa Comunitaria Intercultural Biling?e (UECIB) ?ABC?, durante el periodo lectivo 2020-2021. El dise?o de investigaci?n fue de campo, con enfoque cualitativo, inspirado en la Investigaci?n-Acci?n. Surgi? a partir de observaciones realizadas durante las Pr?cticas Preprofesionales en la UECIB ?ABC?, de San Pablo de Tenta (cant?n Saraguro, Provincia Loja-Ecuador), durante dos periodos escolares 2018-2019 y 2020-2021, al observar en esta instituci?n problemas e inconsistencias con la implementaci?n del Modelo de Educaci?n Intercultural Biling?e (MOSEIB, 2013). Los contenidos curriculares que impart?a el docente a sus alumnos, no eran contextualizados ni vinculados con los saberes ancestrales propios de la nacionalidad Kichwa-Saraguro. Asimismo, las estrategias did?cticas que utilizaba en el ?rea de CCNN, no aportaban al proceso de ense?anza-aprendizaje, para que los estudiantes pudieran construir sus propios conocimientos. Es decir, el docente no proporcionaba las condiciones para un aprendizaje significativo de sus alumnos, para que lograran aplicarlo en la realidad de su comunidad. Adicionalmente, tampoco hab?a participaci?n de los actores de la comunidad ni de los padres de familia en el proceso de ense?anza: en otras palabras, no se involucraban ni participaban en las actividades escolares de sus hijos/as. En conclusi?n, mediante la estrategia did?ctica del Aprendizaje-Servicio Comunitario se logr? algunos cambios significativos en el aprendizaje y el desarrollo de competencias de los alumnos, as? como tambi?n una participaci?n activa de los actores comunitarios y de la familia, quienes forman parte del proceso educativo.
The main objective of this study was to apply Community Service-Learning as an active didactic strategy in the area of Natural Sciences (CCNN) to recover ancestral knowledge about the use of medicinal plants with students of the sixth grade of General Basic Intercultural Bilingual Education from the Bilingual Intercultural Educational Unit (UECIB) "ABC?, during 2020-2021 school period. This field research has had a qualitative approach, that arises from observations made during the Pre-professional Practices in the UECIB "ABC" of San Pablo de Tenta (Saraguro canton - Loja Province -Ecuador), during 2018-2019 and 2020-2021 school periods. There was registered some problems and inconsistencies on the implementation of the Intercultural Bilingual Education Model. The curricular contents that the teacher taught his students were not contextualized or linked to the ancestral knowledge of the Kichwa-Saraguro nationality, as MOSEIB stablished. Likewise, the didactic strategies used by the teacher in CCNN did not contribute to a significant learning process, so students could not build their own knowledge, which they could apply in their everyday community reality. Additionally, there was also no participation of community actors neither parents in the teaching process, in other words, they did not get involved nor participate in the school activities of their children. In conclusion, through the Community Service-Learning strategy application, some significant changes were achieved for the students? significant learning and their skills development, as well as a more active participation of community actors and parents among the educational process.
