The United Nations, with respect to the Sustainable Development Goals, has sought ways of financing and adequate infrastructure for its initiatives and projects, with green, social and sustainable bonds being an immediate response for the debt market to create mechanisms that allow humanity to take these important changes (social and environmental) seriously, even creating voluntary guidance through principles that regulate their eligibility. Regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been an economic crisis at a global level, and it has been possible to observe how other countries have responded with this type of product in the market. For this reason, the current Ecuadorian panorama and the benefits for issuers were reviewed and possible proposals for reform of secondary regulations were formulated to clarify the use of this figure in Ecuador and give it an immediate application, as it is a clear financing alternative.
Las Naciones Unidas, con respecto a los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, ha buscado maneras de financiamiento e infraestructura adecuada para sus iniciativas y proyectos, siendo los bonos verdes, sociales y sostenibles una respuesta inmediata para que el mercado de deuda cree mecanismos que permitan tomar en serio estos cambios tan importantes (sociales y ambientales) para la humanidad, creando inclusive una guía voluntaria a través de principios que regulan su elegibilidad. A propósito de la pandemia a causa del Covid19, se ha producido una crisis económica a nivel mundial y se ha podido observar como los demás países han respondido con este tipo de productos en el mercado, por esta razón se revisó el panorama ecuatoriano actual y los beneficios para los emisores y se formularon posibles propuestas de reforma de la normativa secundaria, para clarificar el uso de esta figura en el Ecuador, a efectos de darla una inmediata aplicación, al ser una clara alternativa de financiamiento
