INVESTIGAR DESDE VINCULACIÓN CON LA SOCIEDAD: DILEMAS Y RETOS DE LA INTERVENCIÓN SOCIAL

This research analyzes the relation between the public outreachz function and the organizational framework of the academy in order, in a particular way, to account for its relationship with the function of research. For this goal, it analyzes the psicosocial intervention developed by the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Cuenca in the period 2018-2020 in the light of a theoretical reflection on the meaning of bonding and research. As a result, it finds that the practice of bonding from social intervention is used essentially as an instrument to extend the student's curricular training, rather than to investigate, which limits the social benefits of the practice. Regarding the relationship research, several problematic areas are identified: the undervaluation of the practical activity of intervention, often bordered to the background; the differences between what the practice of intervention and that of research entail; which could distort social reality to pigeonhole it in scientific theoretical assumptions. In conclusion, it is determined that if the Ecuadorian university considers using scientific knowledge to serve the most vulnerable sectors, it has many pending challenges, among them, organize more efficiently the interrelationship between both functions, review impact policies on publications, and social research, and improve training processes of researchers.
Este estudio analiza la relación vinculación con la sociedad de la academia con la investigación. Con ese fin, revisa tres casos de intervención psicosocial desarrollados por la Facultad de Psicología de la Universidad de Cuenca (2018-2020) a la luz de una reflexión teórica sobre el significado de la vinculación y la investigación. Como resultado encuentra que la práctica de vinculación desde la intervención social se liga primordialmente con la docencia y, en cuanto a la relación vinculación/investigación, identifica ámbitos problemáticos como las diferencias entre la práctica de intervención y la de investigación, el valor epistemológico del conocimiento aplicado, y la carencia de investigadores en el medio. Como conclusión, se determina que para forjar una relación vinculación/investigación existen muchos retos, entre ellos, revisar las políticas administrativas de modo que propendan más adecuadamente la relación vinculación/investigación, revisar las políticas de impacto de las publicaciones, y mejorar los procesos de formación de investigadores.
