The studies on happiness and well-being are addressed with much interest by academic researchers and Governments, under the premise that happy people generates happy Nations and organizations. Thus, the objective of the present study is to identify the determinant factors of happiness and the subjective well-being of the individual. For this purpose, we reviewed 51 theoretical and empirical papers. The study presents a picture that describes the determinant factors of happiness and subjective well-being grouped according to the classification of Garcia-Martin (2002). In the same way, it presents another picture with the determinant factors of happiness and subjective well-being that relates to the needs of Maslow (1943). In both cases, the pattern matching technique is used. The results indicate that there are determinant factors of happiness and subjective well-being, both inmates of the individual as those that come from the environment where this unfolds.
Los estudios sobre felicidad y bienestar son abordados con mucho interés por investigadores y gobiernos, bajo la premisa que las personas felices generan organizaciones y naciones felices. Así, el objetivo del presente trabajo es identificar los factores determinantes de la felicidad y el bienestar subjetivo del individuo. Para el efecto, se revisan 51 documentos teóricos y empíricos. Del estudio se presenta un cuadro que describe los factores determinantes de la felicidad y el bienestar subjetivo agrupados de acuerdo con la clasificación de García-Martín (2002). Del mismo modo, se expone otro cuadro con los factores determinantes de la felicidad y el bienestar subjetivo que se relacionan con las necesidades de Maslow (1943). En ambos casos se utiliza la técnica de comparación de patrones. Los resultados indican que existen factores determinantes de la felicidad y el bienestar subjetivo, tanto internos del individuo como aquellos que provienen del entorno donde este se desenvuelve.
