Variabilidad de aislados diazotr?ficos simbi?ticos en diferentes condiciones agroecol?gicas del sur del Ecuador

The study consistedin determiningthe variability ofsymbioticdiazotrophics isolatesfrom common bean(Phaseolus vulgarisL.) in several agro-ecological zonesof Loja province, Ecuador. We sampleda total of 9cantonswith differentagro-climatic zones, which were geo-referenced using theGlobalPositioning System. Thevariabilityof the isolates was determined by morphological characterization ofthe colonies,where Gramstain, growth, color, mucus production, edges and elevation of the colonies were evaluated. Biochemical characterizationwas carried outby growing the isolates on selective media: Mac Conkey,KliglerAgar, Yeast Extract Mannitol-Congo RedAgarandPeptoneGlucose Agar. The results showeda high variabilityofmorphological parametersevaluatedin differentagro-climaticconditions. From a total of45initial isolates, 24 of them differed inat least one parameterassessed, withsimilar characteristicswiththoseof Rhizobium genus. Biochemical analysisconfirmedthe nutritional requirements ofthe bacteriabelonging to Rhizobium genus, for lactosefermentation in MacConkeymediaas for the growth in PeptoneGlucoseAgar and Kligler Agar media.
