Description

This article analyzes the impact of a website on the promotion and marketing in the international market of roses of small-scale producers of the Pedro Moncayo canton, Pichincha province, Ecuador. The methodology was descriptive and quantitative. Data was collected through a structured survey with open- and close-ended questions, which was applied to the total sample of producers. The analysis of statistical results led to identify the factors that contribute to marketing, and, in the end, determine that the website had no significant impact. Therefore, the article discusses alternatives that will lead to greater benefits and a positive impact on international sales.
El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar el impacto de la implementación de una página web en la promoción y comercialización de rosas para el mercado internacional por parte de pequeños productores del cantón Pedro Moncayo, en la provincia de Pichincha, Ecuador. La investigación obedece a un método descriptivo cuantitativo que utilizó como herramienta de recolección de datos una encuesta estructurada con preguntas abiertas y cerradas a una muestra de la totalidad de productores. El análisis de resultados estadísticos permitió identificar los factores que inciden en la comercialización y, finalmente, determinar que la página web no produjo un impacto significativo. Por ello, se proponen alternativas que permitirán obtener mayores beneficios y un impacto positivo en ventas a nivel internacional.
