La presente investigación tuvo como objeto identificar la necesidad de incorporar la figura de la rendición de cuentas en cuanto al uso de la pensión alimenticia en el Código Orgánico de la Niñez y Adolescencia a través de la revisión de normativa nacional e internacional para que se pueda garantizar los derechos de los menores, por otra parte, fundamentar jurídicamente la importancia de contar con la rendición de cuentas en la legislación ecuatoriana, identificar las consecuencias jurídicas que existen en la actualidad en Ecuador por la falta de rendición de cuentas, y demostrar la necesidad de reforma del Código Orgánico de la Niñez y Adolescencia insertando esta figura. La investigación es de tipo cualitativa y no experimental debido a que no se manipularon variables, sino que se observaron tal como se encontraronen la realidad valiéndose del método analítico, deductivo y sintético que permitieron efectuar la demostración de la necesidad en el ordenamiento jurídico ecuatoriano de la figura de la rendición de cuentas en la pensión alimenticia.
The goal of this research was to identify the need to incorporate the figure of accountability regarding the use of alimony in the Organic Code for Children and Adolescents through the review of national and international regulations in order to guarantee the rights of minors, on the other hand, to legally support the importance of having accountability in Ecuadorian legislation, to identify the legal consequences that currently exist in Ecuador due to the lack of accountability, and to demonstrate the need to reform the Organic Code for Children and Adolescents by inserting accountability. The research is qualitative and non-experimental because variables were not manipulated, but were observed as they were found in reality using the analytical, deductive and synthetic method that allowed the demonstration of the need in the Ecuadorian legal system of the figure of accountability in child support.
