En la presente tesis, se realiza una breve introducción histórica a la tecnología PLC (Power Line Communication).\n\nEsta es una tecnología que permite ofrecer servicios de comunicaciones de banda ancha a través de la red eléctrica, PLC ha protagonizado gran atención en estos últimos años, sus primeros inicios abarcan los años 90’ obteniéndose grandes resultados que optimizaran el desarrollo de la nueva tecnología\n\nEl trabajo de investigación presenta la siguiente estructura:\n\n• En primer lugar se presenta un resumen que contiene una síntesis de los aspectos más importantes, en materia de acceso a Internet. \n\n• Luego en el capítulo Planteamiento del problema, se plantea la necesidad de un medio y una tecnología que permita acceso masivo a Internet en el hogar.\n\n• Posteriormente en el capítulo Marco teórico se presenta información general, como por ejemplo, qué es Internet, por qué la necesidad de disponer de Internet y cómo una persona puede conectar su computador a Internet. \n\n• Continuando con el capítulo Propuesta de solución son presentadas propuestas que buscan dar solución el momento de acceder a Internet a la hora de obtener mejores servicios.\n\n• Continuando con el capítulo Hipótesis, son presentadas una serie de hipótesis basadas en la utilización de la tecnología PLC en Internet y como esta tecnología ayuda a los usuarios en diferentes países.\n\n• El capítulo Desarrollo de la investigación presenta las expectativas que se han forjado en torno a la tecnología PLC, y como éstas serán ventajas significativas para los hogares, comparando con otras operadoras de la ciudad.\n\n• Continuando con el capítulo Conclusiones, son expuestas las conclusiones a las cuales se ha llegado una vez terminada el proceso de investigación de la tecnología PLC en el hogar. \n\n• Glosario de términos y acrónimos explica cada uno de los términos a los cuales se hace referencia durante el desarrollo de la investigación. \n\n• Luego en la bibliografía, se hace referencia a los libros, textos, informes y direcciones de páginas y sitios Web, que sirvieron de apoyo para realizar el trabajo de investigación.
