El transplante uterino consiste en aquella técnica medica donde se trasplanta el útero de una mujer fértil hacia otra que el suyo no le es funcional (infértil), esto con la finalidad de que la receptora pueda procrear a un hijo que biológicamente le pertenezca. Esta investigación tiene por objeto analizar la regulación del trasplante uterino en el Ecuador como garantía al derecho a formar una familia en conjunto a aquellos que de este se desprenden. Para terminar es necesario destacar la importancia que tiene el TU dentro de nuestro país debido a que con ayuda de la avanzada tecnología existente en la actualidad se pueden mejorar oportunidades de vida es por ello que en el presente trabajo de investigación se recalcó la necesidad de implementar dentro de nuestra legislación sobre todo por la gran acogida que esté ha tenido y por ende el éxito prometedor que trae consigo, por otro lado no debemos olvidar que a pesar de ser un buen método no deja de ser costoso, mismo que es el Estado que debe garantizar el acceso a este.
Uterine transplantation is a medical procedure by which the uterus of a fertile woman is transplanted into a woman whose uterus is nonfunctional (infertile) so that the recipient can procreate a child that biologically belongs to her. This study aims to analyze the regulation of uterus transplantation in Ecuador as a guarantee of the right to create a family together with its descendants. In conclusion, it is necessary to highlight the importance of UT in our country because, with the help of the advanced technology available today, the possibilities of life can be improved. Therefore, this research has emphasized the need to implement it in our legislation, mainly because of the great popularity it has found and, therefore, the promising success it brings. On the other hand, it must not be forgotten that despite being a suitable method, it is still expensive, and it is the state that must guarantee access to it.
