El presente trabajo de investigación etnográfico (cualitativa e interpretativa), trata de develar el “imaginario colectivo contemporáneo” sobre l@s jóvenes, el estigma y la estratificación social hacia las culturas urbano juveniles del Quito que pesa sobre ellos. Sin embargo, la intención primordial es des-estigmatizar los imagos enquistados, así como los tipos de violencias estructurados en las concepciones de la colectividad. El Barrio Solanda, ubicado al sur de Quito es el lugar en donde se llevó a cabo la investigación y diario de campo. Se tematiza este sector, porque es considerado “imaginariamente” como un barrió periférico, y es precisamente en donde emergen las dos culturas urbano juveniles analizadas (Rockera/Hip hopera) y su vínculo con el graffiti artístico como detractor de la problemática estigmatizadora. Hay que hacer hincapié, en que el realizar entrevistas, así como el obtener soporte antropológico-visual y fotográfico, permitieron un acercamiento epistemológico a cabalidad hacia las dos identidades urbano juveniles analizadas.
This ethnographic research (qualitative and interpretive), is unveiling the "contemporary collective imagination" of l @ s youth, stigma and social stratification of cultures of Quito urban youth hanging over them. However, the primary intention is to de-stigmatize the imagos frozen and structured types of violence in the conceptions of the community. The Neighborhood Solanda, located south of Quito is the place where conducted research and field diary. It thematizes this sector, because it is considered "imaginary" as a peripheral swept, and it is where the two cultures emerge analyzed urban youth (Rocker / Hip Hopera) and its link with graffiti art critic of the problem as stigmatizing. It must be emphasized in the interviews, as well as get support visual and photographic anthropological, epistemological approach allowed fully to both urban youth identities analyzed.
