Propuesta de un plan educativo orientado al buen manejo de dispositivos médicos por parte del profesional Farmacéutico en Centros de Salud tipo B

Los dispositivos médicos son todo aquel instrumento, aparato, implemento, máquina, implante, reactivo para uso in vitro, software que son esenciales para la prevención, el diagnóstico, el tratamiento y la rehabilitación de enfermedades. En los últimos años los DM se han convertido en un tema pendiente de profesionales Farmacéuticos y auxiliares de farmacia ya que la gestión, almacenamiento, organización y dispensación es su responsabilidad. La falta de difusión de normas técnicas y documentos informativos crean inconvenientes en el adecuado manejo de los DM. La investigación aplicada en este estudio fue de tipo observacional y descriptiva, la cual evaluó y analizó con una encuesta el conocimiento, las fallas y necesidades en la farmacia institucional y bodega de los CS tipo B del distrito 17D04 de la ciudad de Quito. Se determinó que tanto el profesional Farmacéutico como auxiliar de farmacia necesitan mayor información, y conocimiento sobre DM. Mediante la lista de chequeo aplicada se verificó las condiciones de almacenamiento y organización en anaqueles de la farmacia. Se demostró que en los dos CS cometen errores en el manejo de DM, existe desconocimiento de la normativa legal y la lista de DME, los responsables de la farmacia no han recibido capacitaciones, se desconocen las condiciones de almacenamiento y cada encuestados menciona la necesidad de aplicar un plan educativo. Mediante la investigación realizada se determinó los temas necesarios del plan educativo y destacar los puntos que deben estar presentes, para que la información sea precisa y aplicable acorde a cada nivel de atención.
Medical devices are those instruments, implements, machine, implant, reactant intended to be used in vitro, software deemed essential for prevention and diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of diseases. During the last years, medical devices have become a pendent subject for pharmaceutical professionals and pharmacy assistants, due to the fact that management, storage, organization and dispensing is their responsibility. Poor spread of technical standards and informational documents generate inconveniences in the proper management of medical devices. This applied investigation was observational and descriptive, which evaluated and analyzed through a knowledge survey, failures and necessities in the institutional pharmacy and warehouse in B Type Health Centers of district 17D04 of Quito city. It was determined that the pharmaceutical professional and the pharmacy assistant need more information and knowledge on medical devices. Using an applied checklist, storing conditions and organization of shelves in the pharmacy were verified. This investigation showed that personnel working in Health Centers make handling errors of medical devices, there is a poor knowledge of legal standards and the list of essential medical devices. Officials in responsible for the pharmacy have not been trained on storing, and each of surveyed subjects have mentioned the need to implement a training plan. Data obtained in this investigation has also helped to determine necessary topics that the training plan should contain and stress points that should be applied, so that such information becomes accurate and applicable in accordance to each attention level.
