El presente trabajo de investigación muestra la factibilidad para instalar una empresa dedicada al reciclaje, reutilización y recarga de cartuchos de tinta y tóner para impresoras, en la ciudad de Quito; para lo cual se realizaron los estudios que requiere un proyecto de inversión. El estudio de mercado se efectúa mediante encuestas a posibles clientes y también a competidores, determinándose que si existe interés en adquirir el producto, aportan información sobre marcas preferidas de consumibles y los precios que estarían dispuestos a pagar. Los competidores, revelan que el reciclaje de cartuchos de tinta ya no es viable debido a los cambios de tecnología de los últimos años, razón por la cual, se decide estudiar solamente la línea de producción y recarga de cartuchos de tóner para las impresoras. Las proyecciones de demanda se utilizan además para proyectar la producción y dimensionar los requerimientos de equipamiento, insumos y personal para atender el mercado en los próximos cinco años, considerados como el horizonte de operación de la empresa. La viabilidad financiera se determina mediante los indicadores: VAN, TIR, B/C y PRI, que reportan valores financieramente factibles demostrando la rentabilidad del proyecto y la recuperación de la inversión requerida, en un mediano plazo.
This research project shows the feasibility to set a company which will be focused on the recycling, reuse and refill ink and toner cartridges for printers, in Quito city; because of this fact, studies were carried out for an investment project. The market study is conducted through surveys to potential customers and also to competitors, determining that there is interest in acquiring the product; they provide information on preferred brands of consumption and prices that they would be willing to pay. The competitors reveal that the recycling of ink cartridges is no longer viable due to the changes in the technology of recent years, for this reason, the line of production and refill of toner cartridges for printers is the one that is going to be studied. Demand projections are a1so used to project the production and dimension the equipment, supplies, and personnel requirements to serve the market in the next five years, which are considered as the operating horizon of the company. Financial viability is determined through the indicators: NPV, IRR, B/C, and PP, which report financially feasible values demonstrating the profitability of the project and the recovery of the required investment, in the medium term.
