El presente proyecto de investigación presenta un análisis del manejo de información por parte de diario El Comercio sobre el caso de corrupción “FIFAgate” en la Federación Ecuatoriana de Fútbol y su ex presidente Luis Chiriboga. La investigación parte de noviembre 2015, fecha en la que se evidenció la realidad de la dirigencia ecuatoriana con la implicación directa de Luis Chiriboga, ex presidente de la Federación Ecuatoriana de Fútbol, en el entramado caso de corrupción “FIFAgate” que se desató tanto a nivel regional como mundial. El documento evidencia los géneros periodísticos que manejo el medio de comunicación impreso para la búsqueda de la información, mediante el análisis de las notas periodísticas representadas en dos periodos de seguimiento de datos, mostrados por medio de matrices coyunturales y verificando la información a través de entrevistas a periodistas de la prensa escrita de Quito.
This research project presents an analysis of the handling of information by newspaper El Comercio on the case of corruption "FIFAgate" in the Ecuadorian Soccer Federation and its ex president Luis Chiriboga. The investigation starts from November 2015, when the reality of the Ecuadorian leadership was evident with the direct involvement of Luis Chiriboga, ex president of the Ecuadorian Soccer Federation, in the framework of corruption "FIFAgate" that was unleashed so much to regional level as worldwide. The document highlights the journalistic genres that handled the printed media for the search of the information, through the analysis of the journalistic notes represented in two periods of data tracking, shown by means of joint matrices and verifying the information through interviews to journalists from Quito's written press.
