El presente trabajo de investigación, tiene como finalidad realizar un análisis de las principales fuentes de financiamiento que se vinculan con la inversión educativa en la Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales FLACSO en el periodo 2015-2016, las mismas deben estar alineadas a los principales objetivos estratégicos que son: lo académico, la investigación, la organización e infraestructura; cumpliendo así con el objetivo fundamental de esta investigación. Este planteamiento se realiza con el fin de conocer el manejo financiero que tiene FLACSO como universidad pública categorizada con calificación “A” en el presupuesto institucional que es asignado por el Estado, determinando sus ingresos, sus gastos y su vinculación con la sociedad. Además, la calidad de las instituciones de educación superior, ha sido un determinante histórico cuestionable en el desarrollo de las sociedades latinoamericanas, debido a que son éstas el puente para que los problemas sociales sean analizados desde ámbitos académicos y llevar las posibles soluciones a la práctica. Pero esta dinámica en gran parte es funcional gracias al financiamiento e inversión que el Estado les otorgue a las instituciones educativas y al uso que éstas den a dichos recursos. Para llevar a cabo esta investigación, se utilizó una metodología cuantitativa, la cual se realizó mediante la aplicación de una encuesta a una población estudiantil que comprende 348 alumnos
The purpose of this research work is to analyze the main funding sources linked to educational investment in the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences, FLACSO, during the 2015-2016 period, which must be aligned with its main strategic objectives; namely: academia, research, organization and infrastructure; thus, fulfilling the main objective of this study. This proposal is carried out in order to learn of FLACSO's financial management, as it is a public university categorized with an "A" rating in the institutional budget that is assigned by the State, determining its income, expenses and its relationship with society. In addition, the quality of institutions of higher education has been a questionable historical determinant in the development of Latin American societies, since they are the bridge for social problems to be academically analyzed in order to bring possible solutions to practice. However, this dynamic is largely functional thanks to the financing and investment that the States grant to educational institutions and the use said institutions give to these resources. Throughout this research, a quantitative methodology was used, which was carried out through the application of a survey to a student population of 348 subjects.
