La investigación analiza la implementación de un centro de acopio y de una planta procesadora de pulpa de maracuyá para se distribuido en el mercado nacional. Para ello se realizaron encuestas a agricultores de la Provincia de Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas a fin de determinar la disponibilidad de la fruta. Con las encuestas se pudo determinar que en la zona de estudio si existe disponibilidad de la fruta, y se puede realizar el acopio de la misma. Se realizaron los estudios de ingeniería para determinar los procesos productivos, requerimiento de inversión, tamaño del proyecto y la localización. Con la información técnica se realizó el análisis financiero, donde se determinó la inversión necesaria, dado que se bebe implementar el centro de acopio la planta procesadora, además se proyectó a cinco años el estado de pérdidas y ganancias. Con esta información se realizaron dos análisis el primero desde el punto de vista privado para determinar la rentabilidad y el segundo desde el punto de vista social para determinar el impacto del proyecto tanto para el inversionista como para el agricultor, dado que el centro de acopio permite fijar precios al agricultor y eliminar la intermediación.
The research analyzes the implementation of a gathering center and a processing plant of passion fruit pulp to be distributed in the national market. For this, surveys were carried out to farmers of the Province of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas in order to determine the availability of the fruit. With the surveys it was determined that in the study area if there is availability of the fruit, and the gathering center can be done. Engineering studies were carried out to determine the production processes, investment requirement, project size and location. With the technical information, the financial analysis was carried out, where the necessary investment was determined, since the processing plant was installed at the gathering center, and the profit and loss statement was projected for five years. With this information, two analysis were carried out, the first from the private point of view to determine the profitability and the second from the social point of view to determine the impact of the project, for both the investor and the farmer, since the gathering center allows to set prices for the farmer and eliminate intermediation
