El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como finalidad el diseño de un sistema contable para la agencia de viajes walturs cía. ltda., ubicado en la ciudad de quito, el sistema contable comprende el personal, procedimientos, mecanismos y registros utilizados por una organización para desarrollar la información contable, además se ocupa de registrar, clasificar y resumir las operaciones de un negocio con el fin de interpretar sus resultados, para que a través de estos se puedan orientar y conocer la estabilidad, solvencia y capacidad financiera de la empresa y transmiten esta información a quienes toman decisiones. Un sistema contable pretende convertirse en una herramienta muy importante que proporciona información confiable y oportuna y lo convierte en una fuente de información importante para conocer la situación económica y financiera, los sistemas contables varían de acuerdo al tamaño de las organizaciones, sin embargo el propósito básico es satisfacer las necesidades de la organización con información contable en la forma más eficiente posible.
This research aims at an accounting system design for the travel agency walturs co. ltd., located in the city of quito, the accounting system includes staff, procedures, mechanisms and records used by an organization to develop accounting information, also it deals with recording, classifying and summarizing business operations in order to interpret their results, so that through these they can guide and meet stability, solvency and financial capacity of the company and transmit this information to decision makers. An accounting system is intended to become an important tool provides reliable and timely information and converts it into an important source of information to understand the economic and financial situation, accounting systems vary according to the size of organizations, however the basic purpose is to meet the needs of the organization with accounting information in the most efficient way possible.
