Crisis del sistema penitenciario en Ecuador y la falta de un verdadero sistema de rehabilitación.

El Sistema Penitenciario Ecuatoriano se ha venido desarrollando con problemáticas que giran en torno a diferentes causas, es por esto que actualmente se encuentra atravesando uno de los momentos más críticos, debido a la masacre y caos provocados por las personas privadas de libertad, puesto que en lo que respecta al año 2019 y 2021 se han originado varios disturbios y actos violentos que han provocado la muerte de varias personas privadas de libertad, y esto deja mucho que decir sobre los alcances de la rehabilitación social y la corrupción que existe dentro las cárceles, la cual involucra a funcionarios y autoridades que administran este sistema. Es por esto que el objetivo de la presente investigación es conocer un poco la estructura del sistema carcelario, además de abordar las causas que han dado origen a los múltiples amotinamientos, consecuencias y la afectación que ha dejado a los Derechos Humanos esta crisis además de proponer una posible solución a este gran problema que no solamente atraviesa el sistema penitenciario sino el país entero.
Currently the Ecuadorian Penitentiary System is going through one of its most critical moments, due to the massacre and chaos caused by people deprived of liberty, since in regard to the year 2019 and so far in 2021 there have been several disturbances and violent acts that have caused the death of several people deprived of liberty, and this leaves much to say about the scope of social rehabilitation and the corruption that exists within prisons; which involves officials and authorities that administer this system. That is why the objective of this research is to know a little about the structure of the prison system, in addition to addressing the causes that have given rise to the multiple riots, consequences and the impact that this crisis has left on Human Rights in addition to proposing a possible solution to this great problem that not only runs through the prison system but the entire country.
