La actividad arrocera en el país es una fuente generadora de trabajo e ingresos para los pequeños agricultores quienes se dedican a esta actividad. El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo estudiar el ingreso y el ahorro de los pequeños agricultores de arroz del cantón Daule para determinar la capacidad de reinversión. El método aplicado en esta investigación es el descriptivo con un enfoque del paradigma socio crítico con método de participación acción, donde se busca la participación de los involucrados (productores de arroz) para identificar los problemas y construir una propuesta trasformadora de sus problemas. Se levantó información con fuentes primarias como encuestas y entrevistas a los Unidades Agrícolas arroceras y agricultores locales del cantón Daule. Como conclusión principal se determina que la mayor parte de los pequeños agricultores del cantón Daule tiende a que la retribución de la producción no les permita tener una capacidad de ahorro y por ende no puedan hacer ningún tipo de reinversión, manteniendo que este grupo vulnerable y muchas veces al margen. También esta investigación destaca como propuesta principal que se investigue al pequeño agricultor de arroz de la manera adecuada e implementando medidas enfocadas a las necesidades de los agricultores las cuales le permitan una mejora en su calidad de vida.
Rice activity in the country is a source of work and income for small farmers who are engaged in this activity. The present research aims to study the income and saving of small rice farmers in the Daule canton to determine reinvestment capacity. The method applied in the research is the descriptive one with an approach of the critical partner paradigm with the method of the action of the paper, where it is sought the participation of the involved ones to identify the problems and to construct a proposal of transformation of the problems. Information was collected from primary sources such as surveys and interviews with the leaders of local rice associations and farmers in the Daule canton. As a conclusion, the main conclusion is that most of the small farmers in the Daule canton tend to have the capacity to have a saving capacity and therefore no type of reinvestment, keeping this vulnerable group and often on the sidelines. It is also an in vestigation that stands out as a project that investigates the small rice farmer in a manner appropriate to the implementation of measures focused on the needs of farmers that allow an improvement in their quality of life.
