El presente trabajo de titulación “Parque - Biblioteca pública de Durán”, hace referencia a la idea de generar un proyecto integral entre la comunidad y el lugar de emplazamiento, mediante la investigación de condicionantes urbanas y sociales, para poder generar soluciones formales y funcionales, potencializando así el enfoque principal del proyecto: Diseñar un edificio emblemático de la ciudad, un punto de encuentro y de conocimiento, que conlleve a la reactivación de la actividad cultural de la ciudad. Cabe recalcar que el Gobierno Municipal del Cantón Durán se encuentra realizando una serie de programas en emprendimiento e innovación para la ciudad, en donde incluye el diseño de un Parque - Biblioteca a ubicarse en el sector Ferroviaria. Por lo tanto, se propone un diseño urbano-arquitectónico en donde exista flexibilidad en el espacio público y privado, permitiendo múltiples eventos culturales en su recorrido, además de mejorar la calidad en la imagen urbana de Durán.
The present titling project "Durán's public Library" refers to the idea of generating an integral project between the community and the place of the placement. Base on the researches of urban and social conditioning, taking advantage of the natural factors of the site to be able to generate formal and functional solutions, enhancing the main focus of the project: To design an emblematic building of the city, a point of meeting and knowledge, reactivating the cultural activity of the city. It should be noted that the Municipal Government of Canton Durán is conducting a series of programs in entrepreneurship and innovation for the city, which includes the design of a Library Park to be located in sector Ferroviaria. Therefore, an urban-architectural design is proposed where there is flexibility in the public and private space, allowing multiple cultural events along its route.
