Incidencia del infarto agudo de miocardio en pacientes entre 40a 80 años de edad ingresados en el área de un hospital de la ciudad de Guayaquil, entre el período mayo 2022 a abril 2023.

El infarto agudo de miocardio es considerado uno de las principales enfermedades cardiacas, definido prácticamente por la muerte progresiva delmusculo cardiaco y más en pacientes con edades superior a 40 años; por ende, el Objetivo, determinar la incidencia del infarto agudo de miocardio en pacientes entre 40 a 80 años de edad ingresados, año 2022; Diseño: descriptivo, cuantitativo, prospectivo, transversal, guía de observación indirecta. Población: 700 pacientes. Resultados: la incidencia en el año 2022 con infarto agudo de miocardio fue del 80.4%, presentando alrededor de 563pacientes, desde los 40 hasta los 80 años. Las características sociodemográficas de esta población, el 60% está entre los 61 a 70 años, sexomasculino (74.7%), autoidentificados afrodescendientes (37%), zona urbana (73%); los factores de riesgo modificables más comunes, fue la dieta inadecuada (100%), inactividad física (95%), obesidad (93%), el tabaquismo, con un 90%, dislipidemia (67%), hipercolesterolemia (41%), uso de drogas ilícitas (32%) y en los factores no modificables, se encuentra con un 90% la diabetes mellitus, 81% lahipertensión arterial, antecedentes de muerte familiar prematura a causa cardiovascular (62%), antecedentes familiar de IAM prematura (50%). Manifestaciones clínicas que han presentado, en primerlugar, molestia gástrica (92%), cefalea (83%), hipertensión (81%), taquicardia (73%), diaforesis (71%), disnea (70%), sincope (56%). Respecto a las complicaciones, se presentaron las isquémicas (61%) e inflamatorias (16%), embólicas (13%), eléctricas (9%); Conclusión: Es evidente que la incidencia del infarto agudo de miocardio va aumentando al pasar los períodos, por eso, estas investigaciones deben seguir realizándose para tener conocimientos de la frecuencia de casos y la gran existencia de esta proporción de diagnosticados, e inclusive, afectando a personas entre 60 a 80 años.

Population: 700 patients. Results: the incidence in 2022 with acute myocardial infarction was 80.4%, presenting around 563 patients, from 40 to 80 years of age. The sociodemographic characteristics of this population, 60% are between 61 and 70 years old, male (74%), self-identified Afro-descendants (37%), urban area (73%); the most common modifiable risk factors were inadequate diet (100%), physical inactivity (95%), obesity (93%) and non-modifiable factors, 90% diabetes mellitus, 81% hypertension arterial. Clinical manifestations that have presented, in the first place, gastric discomfort (92%), headache (83%), hypertension (81%), tachycardia (73%), diaphoresis (71%), dyspnea (70%), syncope (56 %). Regarding complications, there were ischemic (61%) and inflammatory (16%), embolic (13%), electrical (9%); Conclusion: It is evident that the incidence of acute myocardial infarction increases as the periods go by, therefore, these investigations must continue to be carried out to have knowledge of the frequency of cases and the great existence of this proportion of diagnosed, and even affecting people between 60 to 80 years.
