Estudio de factibilidad para la creación de un Centro de Medicina Materno - Fetal en la ciudad de Ambato.

La subespecialidad de medicina materno fetal, rama de la ginecología y obstetricia es una opción relativamente nueva que se basa en control, prevención y manejo de patologías obstétricas que pueden presentar las gestantes durante su embarazo. En base a lo indicado, el estudio tuvo como objetivo elaborar un estudio de factibilidad de un centro médico materno fetal que pueda brindar la asistencia y atención necesaria a las mujeres de Ambato. Para ello, se realizó una revisión teórica, se analizó y comparó estudios previos, se definió las características técnicas y administrativos del centro médico, además se determinó la factibilidad y viabilidad financiera del proyecto. Para ello, se desarrolló una metodología que tuvo un enfoque mixto, exploratorio descriptivo siendo su objeto conocer la situación actual y percepción de las mujeres de Ambato en cuestión al servicio médico que reciben. De estos hallazgos, se logró conocer que el factor que motiva asistir a un centro médico es que este cuente con buenos médicos, por su parte los especialistas entrevistados consideran el servicio, atención, tecnología, especialización en el área materno fetal como factores relevantes para la creación del centro médico. Se concluye que para las mujeres de la ciudad de Ambato es muy importante la existencia de un centro que brinde el servicio materno-fetal, el proyecto es viable y factible desde las perspectivas de mercado, operativa y financiera.
The subspecialty of maternal-fetal medicine, a branch of gynecology and obstetrics, is a relatively new option that is based on the control, prevention and management of obstetric pathologies that pregnant women may present during their pregnancy. Based on the above, the objective of the study was to prepare a feasibility study for a maternal-fetal medical center that can provide the necessary assistance and care to the women of Ambato. For this, a theoretical review was carried out, previous studies were analyzed and compared, the technical and administrative characteristics of the medical center were defined, and the feasibility and financial viability of the project was also determined. To do this, a methodology was developed that had a mixed, exploratory, descriptive approach, its object being to know the current situation and perception of the Ambato women in question regarding the medical service they receive. From these findings, it was possible to know that the factor that motivates attending a medical center is that it has good doctors, for their part, the interviewed specialists consider service, care, technology, specialization in the maternal-fetal area as relevant factors for the creation of the medical center. It is concluded that for the women of the city of Ambato the existence of a center that provides the maternal-fetal service is very important; the project is viable and feasible from the market, operational and financial perspectives.
