“Evil” es un cortometraje realizado mediante la exploración de los recursos audiovisuales fundamentales del horror. Este cortometraje pertenece al subgénero de horror psicológico y tiene como trama principal la representación del deterioro mental del protagonista quien empieza a sufrir pesadillas a partir de visualizar un disco maldito. El uso de estos recursos tiene la finalidad de conocer cuáles son las técnicas audiovisuales que definen al horror y por medio de su aplicación en un cortometraje poder experimentar cuáles son los efectos que producen estos recursos en el espectador. El cortometraje explora los distintos departamentos del lenguaje cinematográfico como la fotografía en el uso de encuadres con espacio negativo, el sonido en el uso de infrasonidos y efectos sonoros, la edición con una colorización que resalte las sombras, el guion y como han sido utilizados desde los inicios del género del horror hasta su evolución y aporte al cine actualmente.
“Evil” it’s a short film that made through the exploration of the fundamental audio-visual techniques of horror. This short film belongs to the psychological horror subgenre and the main plot is about the mental decay of the protagonist who started to have nightmares when he saw the cursed disk. The use of this resources has the purpose of learning what are the audio-visual techniques that define the horror genre and using these in a short film to experiment what are the effects they have on the viewer. The short film explores the different roles of the film language like the photography with the use of framing with negative space, the sound department with the use of infrasound and sound effects, the editing with the colorization that highlights the shadows, the script and how all these have been used since the beginnings of the horror genre until its evolution and their contribution to the current film industry.
