El objetivo del presente trabajo fue crear dos composiciones de ficción sonora utilizando los recursos sonoros basados en el análisis de dos ocarinas y un collar de conchas, instrumentos musicales de la cultura Guangala, encontrados en la provincia de Santa Elena. El enfoque de la investigación es de tipo cualitativo y los instrumentos aplicados fueron: análisis de libros, artículos científicos, videos, entrevistas y testimonios fonéticos. Este trabajo sirve como punto de partida para las siguientes investigaciones, proyectos y propuestas musicales; con el afán también de incentivar a que se explore más la región costa y más sobre la riqueza de sonidos que se esconden en cada rincón de estos pueblos olvidados. “Destierro” y “Despierta” son dos composiciones, resultado de la aplicación de los recursos obtenidos a partir del análisis de los instrumentos musicales antes mencionados, en una propuesta innovadora donde la ficción sonora cumple un papel importante por el nulo registro de interpretación de los instrumentos rescatados; esta ficción es re-interpretada y vinculada dentro de la música contemporánea, estableciendo una conexión entre el pasado y el presente.
The objective of this work was to create two musical compositions of sound fiction using the sound resources selected by the analysis of two “ocarinas” and a shell necklace, musical instruments of the Guangala culture, found in the province of Santa Elena. The research approach is qualitative and the instruments applied were: analysis of books, scientific articles, videos, interviews and phonetic testimonies. This work serves as a starting point for the following research, projects and musical proposals; with the desire also to encourage more exploration of the coastal region and more about the richness of the sounds that are hidden in every corner of these forgotten towns. "Destierro" and "Despierta" are two compositions, the result of the application of the resources specified from the analysis of the musical instruments previously affected, in an innovative proposal where sound fiction plays an important role due to the null record of interpretation of the rescued instruments; This fiction is re-interpreted and linked within contemporary music, establishing a connection between the past and the present.
