La hipoglucemia es la complicación más usual en el proceso de tratamiento de la diabetes y la principal restricción para optimizar la vigilancia glucémica. Se puntualiza como una cifra de glucemia anormalmente bajo, que expone al paciente a un daño (con o sin síntomas). En enfermos con diabetes y riesgo de hipoglucemias, una glucemia menor de 70 mg/dl supone una alerta. Los pacientes diabéticos desarrollan una preocupación por las hipoglucemias que puede tener un impacto negativo en el manejo y la evolución de la patología, limitando la efectividad de los tratamientos hipoglucemiantes, afectando a la adherencia al tratamiento, y disminuyendo su productividad laboral y autonomía. Se puede concluir que la frecuencia de aparición de hipoglucemia en pacientes diabéticos es alta en la población que acude a atenderse en el Hospital Básico de Duran durante el periodo diciembre 2018 a junio 2020 ya que se vio que el 71.93%de los casos de lipotimia acudían con niveles de glicemia inferiores a 70 mg/dl. El objetivo de esta investigación es estimar la prevalencia y definir los rasgos de aquellos pacientes diabéticos que acuden a Duran con síntomas neuroglucopénicos.
Hypoglycemia is the most common complication in the diabetes treatment process and the main restriction for optimizing glycemic monitoring. It is specified as an abnormally low blood glucose figure, which exposes the patient to harm (with or without symptoms). In patients with diabetes and at risk of hypoglycemia, a blood glucose level below 70 mg / dl is an alert. Diabetic patients develop a concern about hypoglycemia that can have a negative impact on the management and evolution of the disease, limiting the effectiveness of hypoglycemic treatments, affecting adherence to treatment, and reducing their work productivity and autonomy. It can be concluded that the frequency of occurrence of hypoglycemia in diabetic patients is high in the population that comes to be treated at the Basic Hospital of Duran during the period December 2018 to June 2020 since it was seen that 71.93% of lipothymia cases attended with blood glucose levels below 70 mg / dl. The objective of this research is to estimate the prevalence and define the characteristics of those diabetic patients who come to Duran with neuroglycopenic symptoms.
