La presente investigación titulada, “Funcionalidad Familiar en las diferentes tipologías familiares en los estudiantes del quinto año de Educación Básica en el contexto del COVID-19 de una Institución Educativa Privada del cantón Piñas”, se orienta en caracterizar la funcionalidad que muestran las familias en el contexto del COVID-19, en sus diferentes tipologías familiares, la investigación busca entender como esta crisis paranormativa modificó las dinámicas familiares y a su vez fortalecer esas relaciones familiares con cada uno de los miembros del núcleo familiar. La investigación tiene un enfoque mixto (cuantitativo y cualitativo) de tipo aplicada y con nivel descriptivo, con una muestra conformada por 37 familias de los estudiantes de quinto año de Educación General Básica de una Institución Educativa Privada del cantón Piñas, para la recopilación de datos se utilizó instrumentos de investigación como, el Cuestionario de Funcionamiento Familiar (FF – SIL) y la Entrevista a profundidad, mismo que permiten el desarrollo de la investigación. Se da una descripción de los datos obtenidos en la aplicación de los instrumentos de investigación antes mencionados, para determinar las características de la funcionalidad familiar en las diferentes tipologías familiares. Los resultados de la investigación demostraron que la funcionalidad familiar encontrada en las tipologías nuclear, monoparental, extendida y reconstruidas, es funcional, moderadamente funcional, disfuncional y severamente disfuncional en las familias de los estudiantes de quinto año de educación General Básica de una Institución Educativa Privada del cantón Piñas.
The present investigation entitled, "Family Functionality in the different family typologies in students of the fifth year of Basic Education in the context of COVID-19 of a Private Educational Institution of the Piñas canton", is aimed at characterizing the functionality offered by families in In the context of COVID- 19, in its different family typologies, the research seeks to understand how this paranormative crisis modified family dynamics and in turn strengthen those family relationships with each of the members of the family nucleus. The research has a mixed approach (quantitative and qualitative) of an applied type and with a descriptive level, with a sample made up of 37 families of fifthyear students of Basic General Education of a Private Educational Institution of the Piñas canton, for data collection Research instruments such as the Family Functioning Questionnaire (FF - SIL) and the in-depth interview were used, which allow the development of the research. A description of the data obtained in the application of the aforementioned research instruments is given, to determine the characteristics of family functionality in the different family typologies. The results of the research showed that the family functionality found in the nuclear, single-parent, extended and reconstructed typologies, is functional, moderately functional, dysfunctional and severely dysfunctional in the families of the students of the fifth year of Basic General education of a Private Educational Institution. from the Piñas canton.
