La actual tesis expone una propuesta arquitectónica de una biblioteca inclusiva para la ciudad de Durán, cuya finalidad es que sirva como un espacio de encuentro, participación e intercambio de actividades culturales y recreativas. El proyecto busca articular el espacio público a través del diseño del parque en planta baja y este está enlazado con el edificio, atravesándolo. La propuesta formal consiste en tres volúmenes que se articulan a través del bloque central por medio de pasillos. Las fachadas cumplen una variedad de criterios como tratar de conseguir un emplazamiento del con-texto inmediato, utilizando un módulo de cuadrados que se repiten en las construcciones aledañas. Se busca permeabilidad creando conexiones espaciales abiertas y flexibles para que sean espacios de conversión y adaptables a nuevos cambios, este carácter se replica en todos los niveles dentro del edificio.
The current graduation project work exposes an architectural proposal of an inclusi-ve library for Duran, whose purpose is to serve as a meeting place, participation and exchange of cultural and recreational activities. The project seeks the articulation public space through the design of a park on the ground floor, linked to the building, that goes through it. The formal proposal consists in three volumes that are articulated through the central block through corridors. The facades meet a variety of criteria such as trying to get a location from the immediate context, uusing a module of squares that are repeated in the surrounding constructions. Permeability is sought by creating open and flexible spatial connections to be spaces of conversion and adaptable to new changes, this character is replicated at all levels within the building.
