El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo general proponer un sistema para mejorar la gestión de inventarios de la empresa Macrofer S.A. El trabajo se dividió en cuatro objetivos específicos. En el primer objetivo se analizó la situación actual de la empresa por medio de las matrices de diagnóstico empresarial y el cálculo de las ratios financieras, por las cuales conocimos que la empresa debe solucionar varios problemas internos y que maneja sus operaciones con financiación externa. El segundo objetivo analizó los procesos actuales de planificación, control y almacenamiento del inventario por medio de la teoría de control interno COSO, el diagrama de Ishikawa y un flujograma de requerimientos a bodega, como resultado se obtuvo que no existe orden en las bodegas, que la empresa no cuenta con políticas establecidas para el control de inventario y que el ingreso de mercadería a bodega se hace de manera correcta. Una vez analizada la realidad de la empresa se procedió a diseñar el sistema para la mejora de la gestión de inventario, para lo cual se utilizó el diagrama de Pareto, el modelo de cantidad optima de pedido, el stock de seguridad y el punto de reorden, como resultado obtuvimos el orden correcto que debe tener el inventario en bodega, cuántas unidades incluir por pedido y cuando realizar uno. El objetivo final detalló los costos y beneficios generados por la propuesta para medir la viabilidad de esta, teniendo como resultado que incluso en un caso pesimista la propuesta es viable.
The present work has as general objective to propose a system to improve the management of inventories of the company Macrofer S.A. The work has been divided into four specific objectives. In the first objective, the current situation of the company was analyzed through business diagnostic matrices and the calculation of financial ratios, for which we learnt that the company must solve several internal problems and that it manages its operations with external financing. The second objective was to analyze the current inventory planning, control and storage processes through the internal control theory COSO, the Ishikawa diagram and a flowchart of requirements to the storage, as a result there was no order in the warehouses, which the company does not have established policies for inventory control and that the entry of merchandise into the warehouse is done correctly. After analyzing the current situation of the company, we proceeded to design the system for the improvement of the inventory management, for which we used the Pareto diagram, the optimal order quantity model, the safety stock and the reorder point. As a result, we obtained the correct placement for inventory in the warehouse, how many units to include per order and when to make one. The final objective detailed the costs and benefits generated by the proposal to measure the viability of this, resulting in that even in a pessimistic case the proposal is viable.
