Introducción: La infección por VIH es la causa del incremento de la incidencia de Tuberculosis, el Hospital de Infectologia, donde más del 70% de sus atenciones corresponden a pacientes portadores del Virus de Inmunodeficiencia Humana (VIH), visualizar la carga que tiene la tuberculosis y el impacto sobre la mortalidad de pacientes con VIH es relevante, para la Salud Pública. Objetivo: Especificar la prevalencia de la coinfección de Tuberculosis en pacientes con VIH ingresados en el Hospital de Infectología “Dr. José Daniel Rodríguez Maridueña" durante los periodos 2016 y su impacto en la morbimortalidad. Método: Se realizó un estudio observacional, descriptivo, analítico y retrospectivo de corte transversal de prevalencia, analítico a todos los pacientes que fueron egresados y diagnosticados con Tuberculosis en los periodos 2016.
Introduction: HIV infection has led to an increase in the incidence of Tuberculosis. “Dr. José Daniel Rodríguez Maridueña" Infectology Hospital- is a landmark sanitary institution of national reference for infectious and contagious diseases, where over 70% of admitted patients belong to those infected with HIV; thus to determine the impact on mortality of patients with HIV that tuberculosis represents is relevant in order to maintain the standards of national sanitary care. Aim: Specify the prevalence of Tuberculosis coinfection in patients with HIV admitted to the Hospital of Infectious Diseases "Dr. José Daniel Rodríguez Maridueña "during the 2016 period and its impact on morbidity and mortality. Method: We carry out an observational, descriptive, retrospective and analytic study all patients who were graduates and diagnosed with Tuberculosis in 2016.
