El presente trabajo de investigación busca determinar la deshonestidad tributaria de las personas naturales de la ciudad de Guayaquil, a través del índice de confianza en el Gobierno, para así poder presentar propuestas que coadyuven al cumplimiento tributario. Por esta razón, se realizó un tipo de investigación exploratoria y concluyente descriptiva con un enfoque cuantitativo, tomando como muestra a las personas naturales obligadas y no obligadas a llevar contabilidad dentro de la parroquia Tarqui de la ciudad de Guayaquil. Para la recolección de datos, se tomó una encuesta previamente validada por otros investigadores, la cual consistía en un total de 40 preguntas que aportaron de manera satisfactoria a la investigación. Dichas preguntas fueron medidas por medio de la escala de Likert de 5 puntos sobre el comportamiento tributario que poseían los contribuyentes encuestados. Dentro de los resultados obtenidos, se desarrolló una interpretación estadística descriptiva sobre el nivel de confianza en el gobierno y la incidencia en la deshonestidad tributaria, permitiendo así comprobar la hipótesis planteada. Además, se demostró que las personas naturales de la parroquia Tarqui de la ciudad de Guayaquil poseen un bajo nivel de confianza en el gobierno, lo cual provoca deshonestidad tributaria que afecta a la recaudación fiscal.
This research work seeks to determine the tax dishonesty of the natural persons of the city of Guayaquil, through the index of confidence in the Government, in order to present proposals that contribute to tax compliance. For this reason, a descriptive and conclusive type of exploratory research was carried out with a quantitative approach, taking as a sample the natural persons obliged and not obliged to keep accounts within the Tarqui parish of the city of Guayaquil. For the data collection, a survey previously validated by other researchers was taken, which consisted of 40 questions that satisfactorily contributed to the research. These questions were measured by means of the 5-points Likert scale on the tax behavior that the taxpayers surveyed possessed. Within the results obtained, a descriptive statistical interpretation was developed on the level of confidence in the government and the incidence of tax dishonesty, thus allowing the hypothesis to be tested. In addition, it was demonstrated that the natural persons of the Tarqui parish of the city of Guayaquil have a low level of confidence in the government, which causes tax dishonesty that affects tax collection.
