El Presente trabajo de investigación para la obtención del título de Economista tiene como objetivo analizar la incidencia del gasto público en los Indicadores sociales del Ecuador; haciendo énfasis el índice de desarrollo humano y el coeficiente de Gini. Para ello se desarrollará un marco teórico que comprenda las distintas teorías económicas y sus diferentes enfoques relacionados con el gasto público, siendo el principal sustento la teoría de la compensación. Se aplicará una investigación de tipo descriptivo-correlacional, con un enfoque cuantitativo por la naturaleza del trabajo. Además, mediante la recolección de información proveniente instituciones como el Banco Central del Ecuador (BCE), Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe (CEPAL), Banco Mundial, el Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Censos (INEC) con la cual los autores elaborarán las bases de datos y la subsecuente aplicación de técnicas estadísticas y econométricas. Como principal conclusión se determina que el gasto público si incide en los indicadores sociales, pero en el largo plazo.
The present research work to obtain the title of Economist aims to analyze the incidence of public expenditure in the Social Indicators of Ecuador; With an emphasis on the human development index and the Gini coefficient. To this end, a theoretical framework will be developed that will include the different economic theories and their different approaches related t o public expenditure, the main support being the theory of compensation. A descriptive-correlational research will be applied, with a quantitative approach based on the nature of the work. In addition, through the collection of information from institutions such as the Central Bank of Ecuador (ECB), the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the World Bank, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC) The databases and the subsequent application of statistical and econometric techniques. The main conclusion is that public spending affects social indicators but in the long term.
