El presente trabajo consistió en realizar la evaluación del rendimiento de técnicas de enrutamiento en redes de sensores inalámbricos (WSN). Las WSNs son la tecnología que más se investiga en la actualidad, para lo cual se realizó la búsqueda de información y se encontraron una variedad de trabajos investigativos publicados en repositorios digitales (tesis de pregrado y posgrado) y en revistas científicas. A partir de esto, se procedió a investigar sobre los beneficios de una WSN y entre tantos, se analizó el consumo de energía en las WSNs. Inicialmente, el trabajo se define el problema a investigar, así como el objetivo general, objetivos específicos y la hipótesis. También, se realizó una breve descripción de los fundamentos teóricos de las redes inalámbricas, como visión general, diversas aplicaciones de WSNs, limitaciones, requisitos, desafíos y de las métricas de calidad en WSNs. Finalmente, se propusieron dos técnicas basadas en enrutamiento para evaluar el rendimiento de una WSN.
The present work consisted of performing the performance evaluation of routing techniques in wireless sensor networks (WSN). The WSNs are the most researched technology at present, for which the information search was carried out and a variety of research papers published in digital repositories (undergraduate and postgraduate thesis) and in scientific journals were found. From this, we proceeded to investigate the benefits of a WSN and among many, the consumption of energy in the WSNs was analyzed. Initially, the work defines the problem to investigate, as well as the general objective, specific objectives and the hypothesis. Also, a brief description was made of the theoretical foundations of wireless networks, as an overview, various WSN applications, limitations, requirements, challenges and quality metrics in WSNs. Finally, two routing-based techniques were proposed to evaluate the performance of a WSN.
