La eutanasia en la bioética ecuatoriana.

La constitución ecuatoriana protege el derecho a la vida digna, estableciendo por ende la inviolabilidad de la misma en cualquier manera castigando a quien lesione este derecho. Si bien se sabe, en la legislación ecuatoriana, la eutanasia es un tema que abarca una gran controversia. En el presente trabajo, expongo a la eutanasia desde la perspectiva de la bioética, los tipos de eutanasia que existen, sus cuatro principios bioéticos creados por Beauchamp y Childress, los argumentos a favor y en contra, qué principios bioéticos están en contra de la eutanasia, medidas alternativas a esta y fundamentar el porqué de que artículo sesenta y seis garantiza la protección del derecho a una vida digna. Permitiendo que las personas que sufran de una enfermedad catastrófica puedan llegar a considerar medidas alternativas para poder tener una vida que ellos consideren digna para poder vivirla de manera justa, por lo tanto, respetando los derechos constitucionales a una vida digna y la inviolavidad de esta.
The Ecuadorian constitution protects the right of dignified life, thus establishing the inviolability of it in any way by punishing anyone who infringes on this right. While it is known, in Ecuadorian legislation, euthanasia is an issue that encompasses a great deal of controversy. In the present work, I expose euthanasia from the perspective of bioethics, the types of euthanasia that exist, its four bioethical principles created by Beauchamp and Childress, the arguments for and against, what bioethical principles are against euthanasia, alternative measures to it and substantiate the reason why article sixty-six guarantees the protection of the right of dignified life. Allowing people suffering from a catastrophic disease to consider alternative measures to be able to have a life that they consider worthy in order to live it fairly, therefore, respecting the constitutional right of dignified life and the inviolability of it.
