The aim of this study was to evaluate the passive immunity transmission (PIT) in hatchlings Montbeliarde, determining the quality of colostrum by measuring the concentration of serum protein and testing it for antibody titer. The research was carried out in the Guagrabamba farm, located in the canton Mejia in the parish of Aloag, during december 2015 to march 2016. 33 samples of colostrum of heifers and cows were collected and checked it is quality, using the colostrometer. Similarly, 30 blood samples from newborn hatchlings was collected to measure serum protein concentration through the refractometer and turbidimetry. En la presente investigación, se evaluó la transmisión de inmunidad pasiva (TIP) en crías Montbeliarde, determinando la calidad del calostro, midiendo la concentración de proteínas totales en suero y por medio de la prueba de la titulación de anticuerpos. La investigación se realizó en la hacienda Guagrabamba, perteneciente al cantón Mejía, parroquia de Aloag, durante diciembre del 2015 a marzo del 2016. Se recolectaron 33 muestras de calostro de vacas y vaconas y se verificó su calidad, mediante el uso del calostrometro. De la misma forma se recolecto 30 muestras de sangre de las crías recién nacidas, para medir la concentración de proteína sérica, por medio del refractómetro y por turbidimetría. Los resultados indican que el 51,51 % de los calostros medidos no son adecuados, manteniendo un nivel inferior de Ig. Ver archivo adjunto…
