The present research work is carried out in order to know the impact of the enterprises in the economic development of the Santiago - Prov. Bolívar parish, because nowadays entrepreneurship is fundamental for the local and national growth of a country, to in turn, with the creation of businesses, employment opportunities are offered to the community. From the investigation different aspects were known such as: the motivations to undertake, obstacles that arise at the time of starting the project, factors of business success and also how it has improved the living conditions of the entrepreneurs of the parish. The type of research that will be used is descriptive and field because it allows you to interact directly with the phenomenon of study and identify the characteristics of the ventures as well as the factors that affect social and economic development, qualitative research to know the characteristics present in the business and quantitative to identify the number of ventures generated in the parish. Among the techniques used for the collection of primary information regarding entrepreneurship as well as the socio-economic development of the parish, the respective survey aimed at entrepreneurs and the interview for the government authorities of the community were used, according to the data analysis The factors that affect the creation of the enterprises are also presented, as well as the impact they generate on the social and economic development of the Santiago parish. El presente trabajo de investigación se desarrolla con el fin de conocer la incidencia de los emprendimientos en el desarrollo económico de la parroquia Santiago – Prov. Bolívar, debido que en la actualidad el emprendimiento es fundamental para el crecimiento local y nacional de un país, a su vez con la creación de negocios se brinda oportunidades de empleo a la colectividad. A partir de la investigación se conoció diferentes aspectos como son: las motivaciones para emprender, obstáculos que se presentan al momento de iniciar el proyecto, factores de éxito de los negocios y además como ha mejorado las condiciones de vida de los emprendedores de la parroquia. El tipo de investigación que se utilizara es descriptiva y de campo porque permite interactuar directamente con el fenómeno de estudio e identificar las características de los emprendimientos además los factores que inciden en el desarrollo social y económico, la investigación cualitativa para conocer las características presentes en los negocios y cuantitativa para identificar el número de emprendimientos generados en la parroquia. Dentro de las técnicas utilizadas para la recolección de información primaria referente al emprendimiento como al desarrollo socio-económico de la parroquia se utilizó la respectiva encuesta dirigida a los emprendedores y la entrevista para las autoridades gubernamentales de la comunidad, de acuerdo al análisis de los datos obtenidos se presenta los factores que inciden en la creación de los emprendimientos también el impacto que generan en el desarrollo social y económico de la parroquia Santiago.
