At the BALSAPAMBA HEALTH CENTER, we have demonstrated an inadequate management of collection, transport and storage of infectious and sharps waste by staff working in the Health Unit; Therefore we have seen the need to carry out the research work in this institution, where we obtain results through different methods such as observation and the application of surveys to those who work in this health home. The results obtained indicate that there is a high rate of inadequate waste management by approximately 49.5%. In the face of this problem, our intervention plan is aimed at implementing an infectious waste management protocol for this Health Center and proposing a circle of continuous improvement in order to improve the knowledge of the INTERMINISTERIAL REGULATION FOR THE INTEGRAL MANAGEMENT OF SANITARY WASTES.
En el CENTRO DE SALUD BALSAPAMBA, hemos evidenciado un inadecuado manejo de recolección, transporte y almacenamiento de desechos infecciosos y cortopunzantes, por parte del personal que labora en esta Unidad de Salud; motivo por el cual hemos visto la necesidad de realizar el trabajo de investigación en esta institución, en donde logramos obtener resultados a través de diferentes métodos como son la observación y la aplicación de encuestas al equipo de salud. Los resultados obtenidos nos indican que existe un mediano índice, de un inadecuado manejo de los desechos, aproximadamente en un 49,5%, ante este problema, nuestro plan de intervención está encaminado a realizar un protocolo de manejo de desechos infecciosos para este Centro de Salud y proponer un círculo de mejoramiento continuo, con el objetivo de mejorar el conocimiento en base al REGLAMENTO INTERMINISTERIAL PARA LA GESTIÓN INTEGRAL DE DESECHOS SANITARIOS.
