Análisis agro-socio-economico de los beneficiarios del sistema de riego Illagua, parroquia Guanujo, cantón Guaranda, provincia Bolívar

El presente estudio, se realizó en la comunidad Illagua, parroquia Guanujo, cantón Guaranda, provincia Bolívar. Los principales objetivos fueron: i.Establecer una línea base del Sistema de riego. ii. Determinar el sistema de producción en la zona. iii. Conocer la forma de riego empleado por los productores y iv. Identificar la tecnología de producción utilizada en los cultivos. La metodología aplicada, fue sobre la base de sondeos, información secundaria y encuestas formales. Una vez identificadas las variables sociales, agrícolas y económicas, se procedió a sistematizar, analizar e interpretar la información mediante estadística descriptiva. Del estudio se destacan los siguientes resultados: El sistema de cultivo es tradicional conformado por maíz, trigo, cebada y papa, cuyos rendimientos son deficientes permitiendo satisfacer el autoconsumo y dejando poco excedente para la venta; el componente pecuario, la venta de mano de obra, los ingresos extra finca y bonos del estado complementan sus ingresos, los mismos que son menores que los egresos generados por necesidades básicas. Los principales limitantes en la zona son el minifundio, asesoramiento técnico deficiente, escasos créditos y factores ambientales adversos. El sistema de riego por aspersión ha contribuido a reducir perdidas en los diferentes cultivos, para que este proyecto sea sostenible se recomienda, concientizar a los usuarios del sistema de la importancia del buen uso y manejo de agua, además se podría implementar un plan de uso y manejo de las fuentes hídricas con alternativas tecnológicas de buenas prácticas de manejo. Finalmente se recomendaría fortalecer la organización y reglamentos de la asociación de agricultores ya formada en la zona para que puedan auto gestionar proyectos de mejoramiento, que les permita enmarcarse dentro del Plan del Buen Vivir
This study was made in Illagua community, in the parrish of Guanujo, Guaranda canton in the Bolivar Province. The main objectices were: i.To stablish a base line for the watering system. ii. To determine the production in the zone. iii. To know the watering way used by the farmers and iv. To identify the production technology used for sowing. The applied methodology used was on the basis of investigation, secondary information and formal interviews. The obtained information was systematized by means of descriptive statistics once identified the social, agricultural and economical variables. From the study the following results are outstanding: The production system is traditional and it is of corn, wheat, barley and potatoes which yield deficiently because they only satisfy the self consume and leave little to sell, for animals and to pay the labourmen. The farmers’ other income such as the state’s bonus are less than the outcomes to satisfy their basic needs. The main obstacles for a good production in the zone are: the small parcels, deficient technical assessment, scarce credits and adverse environmental factors. The watering system by aspersion has contributed to reduce the losses in the different plantings so that this project may be sustainable it is recommended that the farmers take consciousness of the importance of the good use of water; besides they might implement a plan to use the water streams with technological alternatives of managing good practices. To fortified the organization and bylaws of the agricultural associations, already formed in the zone, finally it could be recommended that they contact authorities in order to work better projects together that permit to introduce them selves into THE GOOD LIVING PLAN
