This work "ENVIRONMENTAL ACCOUNTING AND THEIR CONTRIBUTION TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN THE TOURISM SECTOR SHRINE OF OUR LADY OF Guayco CUPCAKE PARISH, CANTON SAN JOSE DE CHIMBO, PROVINCE BOLIVAR - ECUADOR; DURING THE YEAR 2016 ", it arises from the need to maintain and preserve in good condition the natural assets that exist in the middle so the importance of providing them with an economic value to these resources; as they help the beautification of tourist place of Guayco, optionally in the middle there is a clear understanding of Environmental Accounting and much less applied. In Ecuador a project to create an Environmental Accounting System was conducted but has not been correctly distributed for application, so to investigate has risen information in the sector managers, tourists and residents, through techniques and instruments in this way the state operates the Sanctuary regarding the management of environmental accounts, environmental care, waste management and sustainable development in the Sanctuary became known. Where is clear that there is widespread lack of management Environmental Accounting, but also that parishioners are attracted by existing natural areas and that provide relaxation and distraction both young children and adults, also coincided with the influx of tourists has economically improved the living standards of their own and others to place people; moreover sometimes manifested trash is burned in the sector resulting in air pollution. Then it concluded that should apply an Environmental Accounting System to thereby control the management and treatment of both natural and religious riches as the waste generated by those who frequent this beautiful place.
El presente trabajo “LA CONTABILIDAD AMBIENTAL Y SU CONTRIBUCIÓN AL DESARROLLO SOSTENIBLE EN EL SECTOR TURÍSTICO SANTUARIO DE LA VIRGEN DEL GUAYCO EN LA PARROQUIA LA MAGDALENA, CANTÓN SAN JOSÉ DE CHIMBO, PROVINCIA BOLÍVAR – ECUADOR; DURANTE EL AÑO 2016”, surge de la necesidad de mantener y preservar en buen estado los activos naturales que existen en el medio así también la importancia de dotarles de un valor económico a estos recursos; ya que ayudan al embellecimiento del lugar turístico del Guayco, dado el caso en el medio no hay un conocimiento claro de Contabilidad Ambiental y mucho menos se aplica. En Ecuador se realizó un proyecto de creación de un Sistema de Contabilidad Ambiental pero no ha sido difundido acertadamente para su aplicación, por lo que para investigar se ha levantado información en el sector a los administradores, turistas y habitantes, a través de técnicas e instrumentos de esta manera se conoció el estado en el que se desenvuelve el Santuario respecto al manejo de cuentas ambientales, cuidado ambiental, manejo de desechos y desarrollo sostenible en el Santuario. Donde se evidenció que existe un desconocimiento amplio del manejo de Contabilidad Ambiental, pero también que los feligreses se sienten atraídos por espacios naturales existentes ya que dotan de relajación y distracción tanto a niños jóvenes y adultos, también coincidieron que con la afluencia de turistas ha mejorado económicamente el nivel de vida de personas propias y ajenas al lugar; por otra parte manifestaban que en ocasiones la basura es incinerada en el sector dando lugar a la contaminación del aire. Entonces se concluyó que se debe aplicar un Sistema de Contabilidad Ambiental para de esta manera controlar el manejo y tratamiento tanto de las riquezas naturales y religiosas como de los desechos generados por quienes frecuentan a este bello lugar.
